Crossing Borders is an annual platform for dance groups across Yorkshire to showcase their work. The event was based at Horizon Community College and saw hundreds of young performers attend. Whilst at Crossing Borders, CHARGE delivered five workshops to eight different youth dance companies based in Yorkshire.
“We were incredibly privileged to have staff from CAPA College deliver workshops at the South Yorkshire Regional Platform ‘Crossing Borders’. The day sees hundreds of dancers taking part in workshops throughout the day and the CHARGE workshops were enjoyed by all who entered the studio! The staff were absolutely fantastic role models bringing energy and such a professional feel to the workshop at all times. They modelled fantastically well and supported a huge range of abilities including groups of students with additional needs.
The CHARGE workshops were a real highlight of the day amongst a busy programme of activities for many of the dancers, who got to learn all about CAPA College and the quality of the offer there. The workshops were back to back in a gruelling schedule and what was a real credit to the college is that they offered a range of styles throughout the day, changing up their content to suit the groups that they were working with. This reflects their great versatility and strength in delivery across all styles and settings. ” –
