Since its formation in 2006, CAPA has developed a regional and national reputation as a centre of excellence in the Arts with consistently ‘Outstanding’ judgements from Ofsted, excellent exam results, exceptional student progression routes and critically acclaimed, award-winning performances. The exciting announcement that CAPA College will now open as a Free School will enable CAPA’s outstanding legacy to develop and expand allowing even more talented, creative young people from across Yorkshire and the North of England to gain access to the highest quality of Arts training and education.
Excellence in the Arts
CAPA College will provide full time Arts training and education for students aged 16-19 and aims to inspire, train and educate the next generation of performers, creatives, designers and technicians. CAPA College’s team of top professional teachers, directors, choreographers, musical directors, designers and technicians alongside industry standard facilities will ensure that CAPA College delivers the highest quality training, education and pastoral guidance to support talented students who are serious about pursuing a career in the Arts. Our vision is that CAPA College will become a flagship for Arts excellence in the North, adding to, and enhancing, the rich cultural sector of the Arts and Educational provision in Yorkshire.
