CAPA College currently offer five course pathways. Each of these course pathways provides students with intensive full-time practical training alongside the rigour of academic Arts study. On each course pathway students achieve the equivalent of four A levels.
Musical Theatre: Performing Arts Course Pathway
Full-time Dance, Drama and Singing training and education leading to the following qualification package:
UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performance & Production (Musical Theatre) and either
The Performing Arts: Musical Theatre course pathway incorporates dance, drama and singing with both practical and academic training. The curriculum covers commercial and contemporary dance, acting and performance and both solo and ensemble singing.
Dance: Contemporary And Commercial Course Pathway
Full-time Dance training and education leading to the following qualification package:
Over the two-year course students will study a broad and balanced Dance curriculum which includes ballet, jazz, urban, contemporary, commercial and choreography, before honing their skills, interests and expertise.
Drama: Stage And Screen Course Pathway
Full-time Drama training and education leading to the following qualification package:
The Drama: Stage and Screen course pathway encompasses everything from acting, directing and devising theatre to scriptwriting, improvisation and physical theatre. Students are examined both practically and through formal written examinations.
Production Arts: Technical and Creative Theatre Course Pathway
Full-time Production, Design, Technical Theatre and Creative Media training and education leading to the following qualification package:
This course pathway offers a broad range of training in all aspects of theatre, film, events, design and media, including set construction, sound recording, lighting operations, photography ands digital video production.
Film and TV Making: Cinematography and Performance
Full-time Film and TV training and education leading to the following qualification package:
The vocational focus of the qualifications means that all work and performance opportunities (including all ongoing participation in classes and rehearsals) are assessed. At the end of the course, students will be awarded an overall grade according to the combined total of all the individual units.
