Support Us
CAPA College is part of Enhance Academy Trust, an exempt charity. We inspire, train and educate the next generation of performers, creative entrepreneurs, designers and technicians.
Education for our students, aged 16-19, is free of charge. A high number of our students come from areas where young people are least likely to progress to University. Despite this, 99% of our graduates last year gained University places. We are helping local young people to overcome barriers, progress to Higher Education, enter creative industries and fulfil their ambitions.
We also run a diverse outreach programme, CHARGE, for the local community which aims to raise aspirations, improve social mobility and improve both physical and mental health.
We are excited to be moving from temporary accommodation to brand new purpose-built premises in 2022. The building will be a vibrant, brand-new, cultural hub for Wakefield District. A place where greater numbers will benefit from access to professional arts education, community outreach programmes and our state-of-the-art facilities.
We seek to fit out the new building with specialist technical teaching equipment and run a range of innovative creative projects, to ensure we can help even more people achieve their full potential.
A huge thank you to all who contributed to our recent Recording Studio fundraising activities via crowdfunding donations, raffle tickets, donation boxes at shows and of course our array of staff and student sponsored ‘thon’ events… from a Plankathon and Monologueathon, to a Spinathon and Singalongathon.
